Sweet and Simple Spring Hostess Gifts

Spring is here and we are coming out of our winter lairs and thinking about entertaining again.  The season is full of entertaining possibilities.  The big ones are Easter and Mother's Day and we will cover those closer to that time.  Spring is the time for brunches and lunches.  Next event you are invited to, do not forget the hostess.  It is a lot of work to host a gathering, no matter how small.  Show your hostess you appreciate all she did.  A hostess gift does not have to be expensive or elaborate.  It is a token of appreciation.  If you do not know your hostess well, pick out something that could be useful to anyone, or something you yourself would appreciate receiving.  Here are a few simple hostess gift ideas.

Every woman makes grocery lists and love having a pad around to jot down her grocery needs.  How adorable is this list pad with Gerbera Daisy pen!

Candles are always nice to give and receive.  A sculpted buttercup candle by Point a la Ligne or a set of 3 votives in fun spring colors are cheerful gifts.

Cocktail napkins in a nice spring pattern, or your hostess' colors, tied with a ribbon is a very inexpensive but useful hostess gift.

Soaps make lovely gifts.  Think about packaging and presentation to make them extra special.  Shown below is a pear shaped soap with a little ceramic dish tied up in celophane.  How darling is the Gianna Rose bar of soap nestled in a bird's nest.

We love this gift for the gardener.  It is two garden soaps, little wooden soap board, and scrub brush all tied together with a green ribbon.  Perfect hostess gift for a garden party.

Be creative next time you need a hostess gift.  Share with us your ideas too!
