Warm Rich Libraries

We love classic libraries.  We love dark woods, rich textures, and warm fabrics.  We love red leather-bound books with gold tooling.  We love the smell of leather and pipe tobacco.  We love curling up in a leopard-print throw with a cup of tea and a good book.

These new items at Bellagio Interiors inspired us to think of classic library design.

Interesting bookends are a must.  Look at these antique bookends made from carved alabaster.  Even the panther is accepting of these hounds.
A magnifying glass is a nice touch in a library.  This one is a beautiful over-sized magnifier of carved ebony.
We love these mounted insects in a library, reminiscent of Victorian libraries.  The thought of insects might make some squirmy, but when you look at these up close, they are absolutely stunning!

Look at this lovely library featuring a framed insect, and a lot of lovely leather-bound books!
Now, go curl up with your cup of tea, and a good book and have a lovely weekend!
